Appeared at Argyle Gallery, 4th Street Troy, NY for this month's Troy Night Out Fantasy/Horror III show. Artwork from Argyle regulars and many new faces comprises this year's Fantasy/Horror collection. My contribution to this exhibit is a framed print of a pencil drawing of Mr. Barlow from the 1978 Salem's Lot TV mini-series. Face the master! Have a Happy Halloween.

October 19, 2016-

Appeared at The Henry & Miriam Butzel Gallery, Sayles School of Fine Arts, Schenectady High School, Schenectady, NY for the opening of Every Picture Tells A Story. A selection of my Ars Magica, Spirit of the Season, and Grafenveer art are included in this group exhibit along with artwork by David Austin, Leah Ketchen, and Sydney McClaine.

Thanks to show organizer Natalie Boburka, fellow artists, and attendees for a wonderful show and a terrific evening.

The show will be on display until November 10, 2016. The gallery is open to the public Wednesdays from 3:45-5pm and on other days by appointment.

September 23 and 25, 2016- Appeared at Council of Five Nations XXXIX, Proctor's Theatre, Schenectady, NY, albeit for one day or so. Even in that shortened visit I had a great time and enjoyed catching up with Council regulars and meeting some new folks as well. Troy, NY becomes Candyland for this month's Troy Night Out. Argyle Gallery, 4th Street Troy, NY presents Taking Candy From A Stranger!, an artist's choice art exhibit from Argyle regulars and some new faces as well. My contribution to this exhibit includes framed prints of novel covers for Dinocalypse Now!, Khan of Mars, King Khan, Stone's Throe, and The Pharaoh of Hong Kong. Drop in and treat yourself to the show and some free candy.

Prints of the pencil drawing of Marvel Comics' Groot and the line art for both the Nog: War For Planet Nuba cover and Strange Tales of the Century cover will be on view and for sale at the 6th Annual Cohoes Artist Showcase being held at Cohoes Music Hall, 58 Remsen Street, Cohoes, NY. This short but wonderful show is organized by Choose Cohoes for Art and is designed to increase awareness of the arts and artists in New York's Capital Region.

A framed print of the pencil drawing of Marvel Comics' Groot and a copy of the Argyle Gallery coloring book will be part of the auction to benefit Choose Cohoes for Art productions and the Lise Toch Creative Arts Education Fund.

This is the second edition of the exhibit consisting of black and white artwork which is featured in the first volume of the Argyle Gallery Coloring Book. Appeared at Argyle Gallery for their Troy Night Out Argyle Gallery: The Coloring Book exhibit. The exhibit consists of black and white artwork by local artists. The artwork is also featured in the first volume of the Argyle Gallery Coloring Book which will be on sale at this and future Argyle Gallery events while supplies last. Completed a cover illustration for Atlas Games' Dies Irae: A Book of Wrathful Days. This supplement provides new world's end scenarios for your Ars Magica gameplay and is slated for an April 2016 release. Dies Irae: A Book of Wrathful Days is the final supplement in the Ars Magica 5th Edition line which has been in development since 2004. I am fortunate to have been a regular contributor of interior and cover illustrations for Ars Magica titles for the last three and a half years. As we wrap up work on the 5th Edition, I would like to thank John and Michelle Nephew, Cam Banks, and the Ars Magica team for their trust and confidence. It's been a fun and challenging expedition across 12th Century Europe and Northern Africa. Finally, best wishes to retiring Ars Magica Line Editor, David Chart.

Appeared at Argyle Gallery for their Troy Night Out Art Is A Gift exhibit. The Art Is A Gift project elaborates on the notion of offering artwork as a viable gift alternative during the holiday season. As part of the exhibit I advertised new holiday pricing for my Topps Star Wars sketch card artist returns. Also, those that purchase an artist return will receive a free Star Wars mini lunch box with each card while supplies last. See the Topps Star Wars sketch card artist returns page for more details.

Since there will not be a Troy Night Out this December, Argyle Gallery will be reprising the Art Is A Gift project on Saturday, December 19th. Mark your calendars and drop in to chat and buy some artwork from local artists, Argyle regulars, and new friends.

October 8-11, 2015- My Topps Star Wars Chrome Perspectives, Return of the Jedi 3D, and Masterwork sketch cards artist returns are heading to New York Comic Con! I've authorized the good folks at Coopers Cave Games & Paintball to display and make the cards available for purchase at New York Comic Con this weekend only, October 8th to 11th. Those attending New York Comic Con can head over to visit Coopers Cave Games & Paintball at Booth 2578 and ask to see the cards. Each card is unique, handcrafted on an official Topps card blank, and signed on the back by yours truly. Enjoy the convention and enjoy the artwork!

Ryan Allen's FANTASY: An Art Show exhibit taking place at the Urbandale Public Library, Urbandale, IA. The opening will be held Tuesday, October 13th from 6pm to 8:30pm. Took part in Free Comic Book Day from 10am-3pm at Dragon's Den, Poughkeepsie, NY and from 3:30pm on at Alterniverse, Hyde Park, NY. Thanks to Dave and the Dragon's Den team and Anthony, Jim, Cliff, and the Alterniverse team for the opportunity to share Free Comic Book Day with them and their customers. It was a terrific day. Looking forward to doing it again next year.

April 30, 2015- Completed a cover for Evil Hat Productions' The Pharaoh of Hong Kong, the latest in a series of novels set in the universe of the Spirit of the Century roleplaying game. This tale follows the adventures of Benjamin Hu in Southeast Asia. The digital version is available for Dinocalypse Trilogy Kickstarter backers. April 5-12, 2015- A print of the Dinocalypse Forever cover illustration is on display at the Cohoes Public Library. From their website: "A selection of over a dozen regional artists display their works at the Cohoes Public Library In honor of National Library Week. The Choose Cohoes for Art Committee has helped in the coordination of this display of artists, many who participated in their recent Cohoes Artist Showcase V and Moonlight Gala 2. This display offers a chance to see some fresh, local talent. It is free and open to everyone. Sketch collaborations, or jam pieces, from Jack “King” Kirby's 97th Birthday Celebration with Hero Initiative events are now up for bid at Hero Initiative's eBay auction store. In August 2014, the sketch collaborations were completed at various Jack “King” Kirby's 97th Birthday Celebration events sponsored by Excellent Adventures Comics, Ballston Spa, NY and Shmaltz Brewing, Clifton Park, NY. There are three pieces of art available from those events including a large-scale 22.5" x 28.5" New Gods sketch with art by Doug Hills, Paul Harding, and yours truly (see a preview of the New Gods sketch collaboration by Doug Hills, Paul Harding, and Christian N. St. Pierre). These three auctions are set to end on Tuesday, February 17, 2015, so head over and bid on these or other Hero Initiative offerings to support a worthy cause.

January 29, 2015- Completed a set of illustrations for an upcoming release from Fantasy Flight Games. Due to contractual obligations no details are available yet, so stay tuned for news and previews to come at a future date.

January 20, 2015- Atlas Games' Between Sea & Sand: Mythic Africa is now available. I contributed a set of 4 interior illustrations as well as the cover illustration for this Ars Magica supplement. January 19, 2015- Completed a second set of 53 sketch cards for Topps' upcoming Star Wars Masterwork collectible card set, bringing my contribution to 106 cards total. The release date for this set has been shifted to early 2015. Stay tuned for updates, sketch card previews, and artist return information.
